Spreading Joy and Hope Through Community Generosity
At our St. Cecilia parish conference, the spirit of giving was in full bloom during their Sharing Sunday program this year. Thanks to generous supporters to the Conference, $51,000 in Walmart gift cards were distributed to 139 families, including 402 children—marking a record year for the initiative.
The event wasn’t just about providing aid; it was a joyful community effort. Students from the St. Cecilia parish school, including 8th and 7th graders, and even a spirited second grader, volunteered to help distribute the holiday packages. Each gift was handed out in hand-decorated bags, lovingly crafted by students with the help of their dedicated teachers.
For families facing challenges from this year's storms (like Hurricane Beryl and the devastating derecho) and economic hardships, Sharing Sunday was a bright spot in a difficult year. The program brought not just assistance but also hope and a sense of connection.
St. Cecilia’s conference extends their heartfelt gratitude to all who contributed to making this day so special. Your support continues to make a meaningful impact on families in need. Thank you for helping us spread joy and hope in our community!
