Shining Through the Storm: Celebrating the St. Ambrose Catholic Church Conference Installation

We are thrilled to announce a significant milestone for the Society of St. Vincent de Paul. Historically, the St. Ambrose Conference was established in 1965. After temporarily closing in 2022, it underwent a revitalization process to renew its mission and purpose. On July 14, 2024, we joyfully celebrated the installation of the St. Ambrose Catholic Church Conference. This celebration took place amidst the darkness caused by Hurricane Beryl, which had knocked out power from the church and affected most of the conference members. Despite these challenges, the spirit of unity and perseverance reflects our unwavering commitment to our mission.

Following a period of revitalization, formation, and training, the Vincentians of this conference are now fully prepared to engage in service within the underserved communities. Their dedication embodies our essential elements of Spirituality, service, and friendship, bringing a renewed sense of purpose to our organization. Even in the worst times, a light can shine through, offering hope to the community. This installation is a testament to the resilience and determination of our Vincentians, who are ready to make a meaningful impact.

As we move forward, inspired by the courage and commitment of our new Vincentians, we are confident that their efforts will significantly support the Underserved Communities. We invite everyone to join us in celebrating this achievement and to support the ongoing work of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul as we strive to bring hope and aid to those in need, especially in times of adversity.
